EA sent out a press release announcing that people who order the Medal of Honor Limited Edition will receive beta access to the Battlefield 3. Yes you read that right, Battlefield 3. No details about the actual game are offered (or even a logo) other than the beta could start up to 12 months after Medal of Honor releases. The Battlefield: Bad Company 2 ingame store has once again given away info on the upcoming map pack. Map pack #5 is set to be released this Wednesday, July 28th and contains White Pass rush and Nelson Bay conquest. As with the previous map packs, this will be free for players who have entered a VIP code. Thanks fieldoperative.

Treyarch have given an insight into the enhancements they’ve made to the game engine for Call of Duty: Black Ops. Speaking on the official blog, they talk of lighting, physics, explosive effects and character details (amongst other things) and use superlatives like “photo-realistic” and “mind-blowing” to describe the improvements. Check out this Modern Warfare 2 ‘little old lady on Underpass’ easter egg. If you shoot a certain number of bullets into the four corners of a particular door on Underpass, then throw a flash grenade at the door… wait for it… an old lady opens the door and walks out to complain about the noise, then shoots you in your ass!
