After the recent Annihilation map pack leaks Activision have gone on record to officially confirm the third map pack and its release date. In a press release posted by the publisher the release date is confirmed for June 28th on Xbox.   EA boss John Riccitiello has directed a fresh barrage of taunts at Activision in the aftermath of the Battlefield 3 showing at E3, declaring the conference “the beginning of the war” between Modern Warfare 3 and Battlefield 3. E3 2011 has well and truly arrived and it’s time for some more Modern Warfare 3 gameplay demos. With all the confusion over Call of Duty Elite and which aspects will be free and which won’t, Activision has released a Elite FAQ to put the confusion to rest. The publisher still haven’t released info about the aspects of Elite that will be subscription-based because the service was designed to be deeply integrated with Modern Warfare 3, and will not be demonstrable until closer to the launch of the game.
